Shortcuts, Start, and Pinning

Windows 10 has a new Start menu, and with the new Start menu, there are new steps for creating shortcuts.

To create a shortcut on your desktop, follow these steps:
1.Go to the Start Menu, scroll to the app you'd like to create a shortcut for, right click on it and click "More", and click "Open File Location"

2.This will bring you to File Explorer, and open a window showing the file location, right click the program, go to “Send to,” and “Desktop (create shortcut)”

3.The shortcut will now be present on your desktop.

To pin a program to your taskbar, follow these steps:
If the program is on the desktop:
1.Right click the icon, and choose “Pin to Taskbar”

2. OR Go to the Start Menu, scroll to the app you'd like to pin, right click on it and click "More", and click "Pin to Taskbar"
