SPAM filtering options
We currently block over 500,000 spam emails per day, so further global filtering would have negative side effects, like not receiving legitimate emails. Our suggestion would be to add undesired addresses to your spam filter. NOTE: You cannot block a sender within our organization, Saint Michael’s, it will give you an error. To do this, follow these steps:
1. Open your SMC email
2. In the top right corner, under your name, go to “Options.”
3. In the searchbar, type "block or allow" and choose “Block or Allow” from the options that show up.
4. Select “Automatically filter junk email” if it is not already selected. To add a sender to your spam filter, type in their email address or domain (such as @smcvt) in the Blocked Senders section and click the + icon.
