Setting up Auto Reply

In webmail, you can set up automatic replies and rules for the messages in your inbox. To set up automatic replies, follow these steps:
1. Open your SMC email.
2. In the top right corner, open the settings gear and continue into "View all Outlook settings"


 

3. This will open a new window. Once you open automatic replies in the second column of options, you'll see the window below. This is where you'll find the switch to turn on automatic replies. Once you turn on automatic replies, you'll see more options.

4. You can set your automatic reply to only send turning a certain time period (check the box to select the time frame) and then you have the two fill boxes in which you can put in your automatic reply. The first one is what will be sent to people emailing you through their SMC account, and the second one will be what is sent to people without SMC emails.

5. To apply these replies, hit “Save” at the bottom of the page.
